The Hot Rod 5D-PL Deluxe Kit allows use of nearly every PL mount lenses directly on the Canon 5D Mark II (without extra optics), and maintains accurate focus mark by use of a shimmable mount. This is the original professional grade PL mount modification to the 5D camera system. Do not be fooled by cheap (and expensive) imitators.
Please note, only some PL mount lenses are capable of fully covering the very large VistaVision sized Canon 5D Mark II image sensor. Lenses that have been tested to be compatible include the following 33x lenses:
Duclos 11-16mm Tokina (at 15mm-16mm only)
Zeiss Compact Primes 21mm – 85mm (6x lenses)
Zeiss Ultra Primes 32mm – 180mm (8x lenses) (**Note on at least one set the 40/50mm Ultra Primes did not cover, but on another set the 40mm and 50mm covered)
Zeiss Master Primes 50mm -150mm (5x lenses)
Cooke S4 Lenses 65mm – 300mm (7x lenses) (Please note I have every reason to believe that the longest S4 lenses cover although I have not tested longer than 180mm)
Cooke Panchro 75mm and longer (2x lenses)
Red Pro Primes 85mm and longer (2x lenses)
Zeiss Super Speed MKIII 85mm, Zeiss Standard Speed 135mm

The installation of a New Hot Rod PL Mount Adapter (in British Racing Green), with integrated HRPL stud for secure mating with the Hot Rod Central Support. Sensor cavity flocking with anti-reflective material and pentaprism masking to prevent unwanted lens and sensor flares – The Deluxe Kit includes the Hot Rod Central Support, and Universal Hand Held Grips.
